Some time ago, a few posted on this board about a place that you could count on for a front end alignment... did a search could not find the post... seems like it was on Florida or Airline.

Can't help you with the place, but why not go ahead and get a 4 wheel alignment?

I use the Toyota dealership.

The tire places around here always screw it up.

I know it sounds nuts, but I go to the Dealership for that. Usually they'll have an online coupon you can print off and it'll run about $60...cheaper than other places.

Firestone on Burbank did good work for me back when I lived in BR.

I've gotten the lifetime alignment at Firestone on tiger bend and it ran $200. I can go back as many times as I want for an alignment. On another car 8 got one done at jiffy lube on Coursey. They did a great job for $90.

bad tires can mimic the need for a front-end alignment.

I learned this the hard way many moons ago...

Gonzalez tire in prairieville.

They treat every street car like a race car.

I've had the old guy request I sit in the vehicle and place things where I typically carry them WHILE he does the alignment.

Optional, but makes any vehicle a million times better to drive.

Jim's Wheel Alignment on Airline by the old EKL hospital. You'll likely need an appointment.

AGCO. Not the cheapest, but they do good work at a fair price.

Ask for a printout of the settings before and after the work. If they refuse or say they can't do it, find another place. All modern aligning equipment have this capability and most reputable shops have no problem with this request and some will attach a copy to the bill without asking.

It's Jim's, and you absolutely need to make an appointment, but they are very good at sticking to the appointments. No waiting for 2 hours wondering when it'll be your turn.

And if they tell you something is broken, worn out, whatever....then it is. They're not your typical screw you over type of place, and they've been open for a thousand years for that reason.
