I bet he could do it. Most of these posters are unathletic so they don’t understand.

I saw an episode where a Joe tackled Thurman Thomas. Thomas was like 40 at the time, but still. Pretty good tackle.

The problem with AAA baseball players is that they are so incredibly good at the game they make it look easy.

Baseball forces the player to overcome everything natural about man... you are innately programmed to get the frick out of the way of a hard speeding object flying directly at you.

You beat evolution, you win at baseball.

Even if you don’t duck out the way it’s still hard to hit

Austin Nola is an average AAA player

Austin Nola was an absolute stud and got switched to C just so he could keep playing.

Think about that. Possibly the 3rd or 4th best SS of all time at LSU and he can't sniff an MIF position in AAA ball.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall to see when your buddy gets handed a big piece of humble pie to choke on. He sounds like the Uncle Rico of Baton Rouge. What an absolute assclown.

no he can't do it. . I went into a cage the other day and was making good contact at mid 80s..having not picked up a bat and swung at a pitch in 7 years..I was kinda surprised. I think a lot of it has to do with knowledge of the game at this point..physics

I used to pitch 90+ in high school. Would never dream of trying to pitch that fast now, would probably take me the better part of a year practicing every day to get that back if not longer

Baseball players really aren't true athletes.

Surely this is sarcasm. It takes greater skill to hit a baseball 30% of the time than virtually anything else in sports.

I signed up for an over 30 baseball league pitched by pitching machine, think it was 60 mph.

First problem was that almost everyone was in their early 20s. Second problem was that I was imagining playing third and going parallel to ground catching line drives........in reality I wasn't even quick enough to react before the hard hits went by. I realized (seriously) if one of these big guys hit it at my head I was a goner. I switched to second base.. One older guy got hit in the head and was in serious condition for a while.

First, a lot of AAA guys throw 95

Second, he does have a small strike zone!
