So someone DOESN'T deserve to know if their spouse is cheating?

No. Certainly not from the guy her husband confided in.

At least at that age you can talk about it with your kid. At ten he has no clue, I have seen both ends of it and staying together is the better result,IMO. There is no right answer too a wrong situation, there are just less wrong.

I do not condone it, I am simply saying that the friend is looking for this

Some people just like to get it off their chest. They know they are being dishonest and by telling someone they can feel better about themselves.

Exactly. What happened to the bro code? I feel bad for his wife, but I am not going to betray my friend's confidence. You can advise your friend and help him. It sounds like that is what the guy wants. It is up to him if he wants her to know.

I would "jokingly" threaten to tell the wife and make comments about a big secret I know when in front of her.

It'll be the last time he confides in me about shite like that...

No such thing when someone's cheating on their spouse, IMO.

ALL affairs start due to a lack of intimacy at home. I can't really fault the guy for getting pussy on the side. A man simply cannot go without pussy.

As a friend, you are honor-bound to try to point him in the right direction (ending the affair). You should never do anything that implies that you sanction his behavior (meeting the mistress , hanging out with her, etc). I personally wouldn't feel the need to end a friendship over it, but I know many better men who would. Whatever happens, unless you're speaking with him, keep your mouth shut about it. You're a grown man.

Solid advice.

This is the exact same thought process that people use to justify stealing shite. "Brah he's got plenty of money and I've got none. A man can't live without money!"

Maybe you're right, he could be looking for validation... But inside, the guy knows he's wrong.
