We'll be up there soon with about 2 days of free time. Whitewater trips are closed. Would appreciate any recommended hikes/trails or other activities.

hike St. Mary's glacier in Idaho Springs. It's near Morrison, CO. Easy hike with awesome views.

edit: It's not really near Ft. Collins

Estes Park is like 45min away though. Tons of trails out that way.

I'd recommend Fern Lake Trail in RMNP. It takes a while (like most of your day) and is not too difficult. It's not easy either though, especially for a Flatlander.

Watch out for the Black Death...The Plague. It's running rampant in those areas.

Thanks. Won't be too bad...7 miles at 1400 foot total gain.

It's great because it has a lot of scenery changes and a few great scenic moments. The incline is no big deal but it does take a while.

I'm a Boulder trails nut, so if you ever have questions about those, I'm your man.

obviously beer.

Maybe go see a show a mishawaka. Its a great place to see a show.

your best bet on the trail front is to ask at the welcome center. Best trail depends on time of year.

Elk bugling might have started, and that is worht checking out. Might not start for another week or two though.

You could also drive down to denver and buy me lunch!
