Former porn actress Bree Olson says she's unable to pursue life as nurse, mother

Anonymity is out of the question for Olson, she argues. Should anyone recognize the former porn actress, she fears it could jeopardize a nursing license. No amount of plastic surgery or a college education will change that, she said.
“People say, change your hair color, move to another state,” she told CNN. “People know me by voice alone. I can’t run. I can’t hide. I have to face this.”

I listened to an interview with retired porn star Sharon Kane. She lives in some little town out in the California desert. She's a talented artist, and the local school needs an art teacher, but she said she'd never apply, for the reasons stated in the OP.

On the one hand, it is sort of messed up that she is discriminated for her sexual exploits and past behavior. If she did not molest or assault anyone, then what does it matter what she did in the bedroom? Granted, that bedroom was made available to the Internet.
On the other hand, there are consequences to your decisions you make throughout life. Porn, like it or not, is still taboo in this nation and consequently porn stars are forever stigmatized due to their manner of work. If you don't want to encounter these problems, don't get paid to frick on camera.
I don't feel sorry for her necessarily, but it is fricked up that some of these individuals struggle to find work outside of the industry.
Personally, I think she's an attention whore, or maybe just a whore in general.
