For those with disdain for Baton Rouge, at what point was it exacerbated?

Seems like the flood of 2016 and election of Mayor Broome has agitated an already apathetic citizenship of the city.
Any pre-Katrina (2005) haters of Baton Rouge, or are many of you recently frustrated and destitute?

After I moved and saw how cities are supposed to be run.
Frankly, prior to that I was blissfully ignorant.

I'll be honest, I didn't hate BR until I started reading the OT

A year post katrina. The swollen population made the cities problems worse

Most people feel that BR was on the upswing up until the August flood. That killed any positive momentum. The election of Broome couldn't have come at a worse time.

This. BR isn't nearly as bad as people on here say it is. The OT is the only place I've ever heard someone hate on it.

With a little luck, you'll turn this into a laughable Houston vs BR thread

Pretty much Katrina onward.

People that think BR is a great city are living in denial or don't get out much. Or both

You serious, Clark?
I mean, it certainly gets hated on more on the OT than anywhere else, but you've NEVER heard someone outside of here hate on BR?
