How long were you stuck for? And, what were your emotions like?

I was stuck for about 20 minutes once when heading down from my hotel room to go to work. I was hoping it lasted all day.

Didn't some guy get stuck in an elevator and started 'batin after only like 20 minutes?

About 45 minutes. I and most others took it in stride. They were talking to us through a speaker. There were two people who say on the floor and cried. It didn't help that the elevator people dropped something onto the top of the elevator from a decent height. To this day I cannot imagine what it was. It was not a single crash. The only image in my head is dropping a long section of chain. It lasted about 10 seconds. The sound was very loud and slightly shook the elevator. Needless to say, that did not help the anxiety level!

Sounds like how I would troll anyone stuck in an elevator.

You mean to tell me none of the OT badasses has had a penthouse letters like experience on a stuck elevator?

My pregnant wife and myself, along with SEVEN other pregnant couples from our Lamaze class were taking a tour of the hospital/birthing center. We were all on a large elevator that got stuck for about 5 minutes before the elevator car FELL what seemed like 1-2 floors before coming to an abrupt halt!
It was less than a "crash", but still a knee buckling hard stop. It stopped about 2 feet below one of the floors and we had to wait another 10 minutes before they got the door open.
You can imagine the the scene. Lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth! Luckily no one was hurt. I think they called out the CEO of the hospital who personally helped every pregnant woman climb out of the elevator.
It was surreal!

Stuck two different times for about 30 plus mins. Then we got ourselves out. First time we went through the top and opened the door above. The second time (different state different friends with me) we couldn't get out of the top BJ t managed to open the doors and squeeze out and drop to the floor we were 1/4 the way on. First one was a Parking garage the second a hotel

A little over an hour and a half. it wasn't very fun. Emotionally I was fine, but the neck tatted dudes that were in the elevator with me were on the verge of losing their shite. Kept saying, " I got to get out this shite" Like they were the only ones stuck there, and I didn't have to get out either. The emergency phone in the elevator was just one step above talking via two cans and a string, couldn't understand what the operator was saying.
Best thing to do is just realize that panicking and fussing don't help the situation, and don't accomplish anything, just be patient and people will come and get you.

Got stuck for maybe 5 min a few weeks ago. Was alone, kept pushing first floor/basement to see if i could reset the system. Eventually got out and people standing on first floor were all like 'were you on there for that?!?'

I'd rather be stuck alone than with a bunch of randoms

An hour alone at age 16, I could spread the doors open enough to talk to my friends. It was funny not scary. Had to climb out through elevator shaft, they couldn't get it working

we giggled the entire time.

Once, it was an office building...Keanu Reeves saved us by attaching a crane that was mounted on the roof top to the elevator

I've gotten many people out of stuck elevators. It's not a big deal at all. I had one lady stampede me like a herd of moose once.
Another called all her family and had them coming to the building because she thought she was going to die.
Again, it's not a big deal.

I was in an elevator with people that thought we were stuck. Then I hit the "<>" button. Everyone got off on that floor thinking they just dodged a bullet. I rode it up to my floor, and hit the "<>" to get out. When something doesn't go as planned in an elevator, people lose their shite.

Got stuck in one on a cruise. It wasn't bad, we weren't in there too long.
Got stuck in another one in a condo in Gulf Shores. I was shite faced and by myself. No idea how long I was in there, but they said they could hear me ringing the emergency bell from the condo. That one was hot. I was drenched in sweat when I got out.
