That's what I meant by "amazing." Apple has created a (perceived) luxury item with premium margins that is affordable enough to be a mass market item. Not only that, they've maintained and grown it over a 10 year stretch in fricking TECH, where prices always race to the bottom. Moreover, it's yet to reach a PC-like steady state and decline; people are still replacing them way before they need to, and there's been a steady supply of new users. And the used iPhone market is huge, with iPhones maintaining their value for years. Amazing. Has there ever been anything like it?

Wow that's a horrible contrast. Walmart only thrives because of its razor thin margins, but a tune of 3 billion dollars profit every month will keep Walmart going strong for a long time. most people pay way too much for a brand name Apple product, so Apple can charge the price it wants. Walmart has a different business model that is equally successful in a completely different way

I don't think you know what price gouging means.

They sell a product at a price that people are obviously willing to pay. If you don't like it, don't buy anything from them.

Why would I sell something for $10 when I can just as easily sell it for $20?

A 24% profit margin is thievery

This is so simplistic. I'm not going to explain all of it to you, but that's not how any of this works. Apple puts years of research and development into their products that are not expensed at point of sale like a grocery item. Yes, Apple makes almost 25% on an iPhone, but they spent billions to develop the technology that's inside of it. Production and product costs are not their main expense like Walmart.

Most people, despite their claims, like Walmart, except for their harassment of customers and bribery to entities such as Al Sharpton. If you want clothes or shoes that are comfortable and last a long time, you buy them at other stores. If you don't want to waste money on nonessential items and food or don't want to have to go to 8 different stores to get 10 items, you go to Walmart.

I just presented you evidence that walmart's revenues are ridiculously close to equaling their costs.

Where will walmart get the extra money to pay their employees more?

: For the first 30 days of every 31-day month, 100% of the sales revenue collected during that 30-day period (about $39 billion) go entirely towards paying Walmart’s monthly operating expenses: the costs of merchandise, labor, taxes, etc. In other words, it takes 30 days of sales during every 31-day period for Walmart to cover its costs and break even. Only on the last day of every 31 day period, after finally breaking even the previous day, does any of the sales revenue generated by Walmart go to its profits. Finally, on the 31st and final day of a month like March, the retailer’s daily sales of $1.3 billion become the company’s monthly profits

Jeez, he explained the shite out of that. It's not that difficult of a concept.
