I spent a week in Grapevine, Mansfield and Trophy Club, Tx.
Sure it's nice and up-scale but it is all so generic
The traffic is HORRENDOUS, with no continuity. Sat afternoon, bam random traffc jam with assholes causing it because they are about me, f you.
Not my first time there. Every time I come away wondering how my kin live like that
Sure you can make big bucks and live in a rat race but is that really what life is about?
Ya'll go ahead and build your quadrillion homes and brag about how great it is. Meanwhile, I'll make a comfortable living providing for my family and enjoy driving 30 minutes to family and friends without pulling my hair out. F Texas!

All these high paying jobs in Dallas I have no idea when someone actually works sitting in traffic half the day.

I make a very comfortable living and I live in Grapevine. I live in a nice contemporary home...absolutely nothing generic about it. It takes me less than 30 minutes to get anywhere I need to be. Seems you don't know the roads and are blaming your lack of knowledge on others.

In other words, you don't know what you're talking about.

Thanks for sharing your story. I will definitely consider it when evaluating whether to go make twice as much money and not pay state income tax in Dallas.

I like Texas and all but what do you guys do that would double your pay? I've researched my field in Houston/Dallas and I'd at best get a 15-20% bump.

I live in heights houston. I can get almost anywhere in the city, worth going to, in about 15 min. Trafffic is bad at peak times but if you live in the city I can choose between 20 different routes to get somewhere.

Suburbs are a great example in poor planning and developers run amok.
