I rarely study food labels this close. But, since finding out my kid has major food allergies, have no choice now.

So, my little guy can't have any dairy. Have been told almond milk is an easy substitute. So, at first glance, says dairy free on the back. But, after looking very closely, says in fine print "contains low fat dairy milk". Just noticed this on the vanilla version. Haven't looked that hard at the unsweetened original flavor.

How can something say dairy free, but contain low fat Dairy milk?

hmmm, I did not know this.
I've seen online that it is pretty easy to make your own with a blender (I haven't tried it though)

How old is your kid? Almond milk isn't necessarily a great replacement if you have a toddler or younger. It doesn't have the fat content for brain development.

The unsweetened is horrible and is an assault on anyone's tastebuds.

I bet this is why it contains dairy milk.

What kind of bullshite hippie milk is this?

I want my milk the old fashioned American way: Coaxed out of a cows titbag by a man with rough hands.

By extracting it from the non-dairy containing plant from which it is derived would be my guess
