Looking for a reasonably pricing company or individual to clean-up the flower bed (pull weeds, trim bushes, lay mulch). Does anyone have any recommendations?

I've called a couple of places and they are estimating roughly $2,000. These places have landscape in the name so I think they are requesting a premium for what I am looking to have done. Although I'll say this is the first time I've looked around.

SGGeaux says that TigerBandPiccolo did a great job on his. Check with her and see if she is available.

Wife is having a baby in less than 5 days, I'm sure I'll have plenty of time.

Babies sleep all day long. Try another excuse for why you can't do it yourself.

Just think, in 5 years' time, you'll have someone to do it for you!

You'll be wanting to go outside for an extended period of time. Especially during afternoon nap time for baby and mama. My youngest turned 2 last summer and I still planned my weekend yard work around naps.

Oh I love working in the yard and wouldn't pay someone if I didn't have to. I just don't know if I'll have the time to do everything she wants before the first family gathering at the house.

I don't understand why your so upset about any of the guys here not doing the work. I mean, I'm sure you built your house by hand, including cutting your countertops directly from the quarry.

One of these things you can pick up a bum to do, the other you can not.

don't listen to these poor folk.

I would never pay someone to mow my lawn. thats my job and I enjoy it. but paying someone pick up all my winter leaves from the numerous live oaks, and clean out the flower beds? yeah, thats definitely in my budget if my wife just had a baby.
