Now I know that the OT is filled with some of the brightest minds the world has to offer, so I share this with you, my intellectual brethren, in an attempt to laugh at and ridicule these ridiculous fools.
Absolute idiocy that "the world is flat"...
I spent way longer on this website than I care to admit... there's proof, and challenges, other "proof" going to both sides...
How in anyone's right mind would anyone sit in the camp of the group of people who believe the world is flat?
Granted, I've seen the "land mass proportion sizing inaccuracies on maps/globes" video, which I actually believe... but the fact that there's people out there who believe the god damned world is flat is mind blowing. Absolutely mind blowing.

They can't grasp that you can't see the curvature bc you can't see far enough unless you're at a very high elevation.

I always wondered why they don't set up some kind of huge telescope (not sure one powerful enough exists though?) and try to 'look' across the ocean or a large body of water from one landmass to another landmass based on their perceived arrangement of the continents... if there's no curve you'll see land. If there's just water, its curved.

My favorite FE assertion is that the flat earth is constantly accelerating upwards at 9.81 m/s^2.
When told that would require enough energy to make that flat earth completely molten lava, I think they also throw out classical mechanics and thermodynamics.
