She looks so good, she brings a tear to my eye.

ETA - I am aware that the “Indian” was “Warrenesque.”

The term indigenous is a little silly.

A little?

It’s factually false.

I don't recall ever seeing an attractive indian in WI. The women are almost all short and fat.

It actually isn't, unless you want to be inconsistent.

Think this out fully for me.

The inhabitants that are called “native” came over on a land bridge and wiped out the former peoples that were here, who also likely came over on a land bridge.

None of us are “indigenous” to North America if you go all the way back.

So, how many generations born on this continent does one need to be considered “indigenous”?

Dude, I realize that you are the spectrum, but don’t derail a good thread arguing over the mundane. Instead, put your gray cells to work and dig up some eye candy to share on this beautiful Sunday morning...

There is also some evidence now that some ancient peoples may have crossed over the ice bridge on the Atlantic side as well during the last ice age. This would be before the Beringian crossing and make them even more "indigenous."

Yep!

I'm 1/64 Cherokee. Maybe that would be enough for her.

Which is one theory. There are several others, including waves of migrations, which accounts for the sheer linguistic diversity of pre-Columbian languages. If I recall, there are/were 26 distinct language groups in the Americas before European contact. In contrast, Europe has around 4 to 6, depending on how you classify certain regions as part of Europe or not. Does that indicate to you widespread displacement of 'previous' people?

This undermines the entire Westphalian system. If no one is native to anywhere, that leads to what conclusions?

Does it matter if there is no such thing as indigenous?

I’m 1/8.

Which is ironic considering the 5 1/8 that I’m packing!

It pretty much leads to what we’re experiencing now in the west.
