Those pads are really taking you DNA. The micro-vibrations in it are so fast that it actually numbs your finger while the sample is collected.

You do not have to give them your fingerprint, but you would have to visit guest services every time you visit the parks to guarantee entry.

Was coming to post this. Also, they've been doing the fingerprint thing for a while. It's not something that is new with the arm bands.

Yeah, I think this started in 2005. Every person over 10 years old I believe.

We have annual passes and my wife's best friends asked if they could use our daughters when they went for Mardi Gras (since there is no fingerprint scan for her), but I refused.

That only works in combination with singing "America the Beautiful" at the top of your lungs once security gets in the area and/or starts to drag you away.

Not at Disney...They only use it to match fingerprint with tickets for admission. That's what the new magic band, FP+ and My Disney Magic is for.

Without cause? WTF are you talking about? They are accusing you of anything.

Yep. Well that and every person standing at the park entrance/exit with a damn smart clipboard waiting to "just ask you a few questions."

And technically, they aren't taking your fingerprint, it's basically a five point measurement.
