re: FBI Uses Chainsaw In Raid On Wrong Fitchburg Apartment

quote:

What kind of bull shite question is this? Obviously the FBI made a mistake. I'm not defending the mistake. I thought we were just discussing what would be appropriate for discipline to the responsible agents.

It was the kind of question one presents when a statement like this has been made:
quote:

In the cited case no one was injured and it only resulted in property damage and a frightened tenant.

Additionally it was what happened at the Sanchez residence, but more importantly it was used as an approach to the second question:
"Can you honestly say that they wouldn't have any emotional problems in the future?"
quote:

Can you say for certain that they will?
While that cannot be determined, what is certain is that any settlement offered and/or accepted will be final with all rights to re-open or appeal waived regardless of what therapy may or may not be required at some later date.

Please note that I have not suggested punitive claims, which would specifically be to punish the agency.

quote:

Sorry, I still don't follow the grasping at straws idea.

Somehow that doesn't surprise me, maybe you should re-read the messages.

quote:

I didn't elude anything. Yes or No to what question?

"Just a question though - do you restrict your lying only to message boards, or are reports, citations, depositions and testimony also fair game?"

Again, it looks like you should re-read the messages, including those posted by others.
quote:

To be fair, it's not his job to know the disciplinary procedures of another company In which he has no affiliation.

Obvious troll attempt IMO and did not appear to be a serious question.

I didn't lie about anything. I knew you had me when you referenced the Gonzales Police stuff earlier in the thread. Hence the sarcastic response (laughing face emoticon) with the statement that I sell ice cream.

You wanna act all high and mighty and then become dense and ignorant when it is convenient.

You know more about trolling that I ever will, and that is a fact!

You're entitled to an opinion just as anyone else, however, to me it appeared as if you were attempting to prevent disclosure of your profession within this message thread.

It's already been stated that the intent to post this (German) was only to show that the FBI doesn't kill dogs.

That's why i openly stated it on here.

Just because I'm not waiving a police banner over my head with each post?

If I am asked in a straight forward manner I'll give an honest answer.

How it could be any more straight forward than this:

"Now may I ask you the question of what would happen in your department if such an act of negligence were to occur under similar non-exigent circumstances?"

Especially when you were actually trolling for a disciplinary action response!

quote:

You say it's inexcusable. Federal agency or not mistakes can and will be made. It happens to all of us.

The amount discipline would depend on what was the toll of the mistake. Obviously I feel the consequences should be stronger if say for example someone had been injured or killed during the execution of the warrant.

In the cited case no one was injured and it only resulted in property damage and a frightened tenant.

At most I would think a small suspension without pay.

See that part in bold which follows an explanation that you've already quoted from.

Wow, coming from someone thst's taking shots at my reading and comprehension skills.

That is not what was asked. I specifically asked what would happen in your department. Since you answered as an ice cream salesman instead of a law enforcement officer, your statement was interpreted to be your opinion.

I answered your question.

So you are saying I am trolling by asking for your opinion on discipline? I thought it was relative to the thread. I don't see how it's trolling. Plenty here give opinions on decisions that they may not be qualified to make in real life. Isn't that one of the glories of the OT?

I answered your question.
In your opinion, not as it was stated, i.e., regarding your departments policy.

So you are saying I am trolling by asking for your opinion on discipline?
And I answered you question, but you continued to troll. Your trolling was not just my opinion.

We'll have to just agree to disagree. I'm going to stop posting in this thread now. It's gone beyond pointless.
