Had a poli sci class completely about 9/11/2001 where we watched documentaries the whole semester and wrote short papers on how it changed the government / conspiracies involved. Was awesome.

I had that class the first year it was offered by Nesterov. I liked it, too. Almost as much as Stanley's Organometallic Chemistry. That man had an incredible gift for making such a complex subject matter so accessible and easy to understand for literally anyone.

"Today we are learning about metal hydride bonds. All you need to know is that hydrogen is the slut ligand for transition metals. It does whatever the metal center wants it to do. Take electrons, give electrons, slutty little hydrogen does anything asked of it."

I had a professor named Dr Schierling (sp) at LSU that taught Greek and Roman mythology. He was quite possibly my favorite teacher I've ever had.

He died of cancer during the middle of the last class I took with him. I purposely took his classes as electives because I liked him so much.

He was a great guy and an awesome teacher.

It was definitely Eastern Europe with Dr. Roider. He was the best professor I had while at LSU.
