Please be in prayer for the victim's family! My wife and I know them pretty well. He was very involved at our church and was such a loving, joyful, godly man. He tragically lost his wife to cancer a few months ago too. They had 3 kids. Can't imagine what they must be going through right now!

I'm praying his children didn't inherit his decision making skills.

Illegally passing an 18 wheeler at night on a motorcycle, unfortunate but not smart

That's pretty tragic. He struck a raised divider in the median? Anyone got a pic of what that looks like?

Yeah that's what it sounds like. I never understand why bikers do something so stupid

The guy asked for prayers. Not commentary. These kids are orphans now.

if only we had a poster who was an expert on why/what bikers do
and it would help if they had some experience with death
FTR ,I hate myself for that, prayers to the family
feel bad for those kids

I've become of the opinion that casual motorbike riding is similar to casual flying - its far more dangerous than you'd think when getting into the hobby.

Pretty sure being on a motorcycle is much more dangerous than casual flying

Not a patch wearing biker anymore?

Life is fragile. Don't do dumb stuff.

Stephens was driving his 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on LA 30, when he attempted to pass an 18-wheeler using the center turn lane and struck a raised divider in the median. The impact caused Stephens to be ejected from the motorcycle. Stephens cam to rest in the westbound lane. While lying in the roadway, he was struck by a 2000 GMC Yukon being driven by Ivan Dunbar

Wear my colors proudly. I don't endanger civies on the road though. I save that for enemy combatants who encroach upon my turf.
