This.

I haven't had a fast-food sandwich nearly as good as anything I get from Potbelly.

Lenny's

Between the local Lenny's, Firehouse, Subway, Panera, and McCalisters......Lenny's is my favorite.

I don't think they have any locations in Louisiana yet, but they are going to impress a lot of people when they finally get around to opening one.

Newks is terrible for the price.

Subway actually has the best location between all of them.

We need more Lenny's in Houston. Might add a franchise in Houston to supplement my stake in Cheddar's Casual Cafe. I know there's one in the tunnels downtown and one in Meyerland but I don't work downtown anymore and I'm not Jewish.

I meant the part of Louisiana that matters. jjk

Lenny's is solid. I think they are out of Memphis, so they'll move southward slowly. I think they'd do very well in downtowns or near large college campuses.

Yeah they are. First time I had Lenny's was when I lived in Memphis. I'm back in Louisiana now and anytime I'm in Shreveport I try to stop by. I think Firehouse is overrated. Jersey Mikes is pretty good though.

Time Saver. Wet white bread is worse than peanut butter. You would have to use your finger to get it off the roof of your mouth unless you were preparing your tongue for the oral Olympics.

Firehouse is No. 2

I really liked Lenny's when I lived in Memphis but the one in Clearlake near Houston wasn't as good.

AM Cajun Turkey was tough to beat back in the day.

Closed a couple of months ago.

It was my favorite besides Newk's (which doesn't really fall in the same category to me), but there was Lenny's, Jersey Mike's and Newk's all in the same shopping center, with Jimmy John's and Firehouse right across the street. Lenny's and JM lost the sandwich battle around here.

Haven't had Newks yet. I don't get all the love for Jimmy Johns.
