A cfa deluxe was $3.65 in 2019? That doesn’t sound right

You must be getting those McDonald’s prices from the McD’s in New York, because those prices are still nowhere near what I’d pay for any of that where I live.

I think the biggest issue is most people don't understand how much less they pay using the apps.

I have the feeling fast food places were counting on price-conscious consumers to use the apps and take advantage of the pricing. I started using them for convenience but was amazed at how much you can save by checking the offers. They often accrue points as well and that generally amounts to about 10% of your spend.

4 dollars for medium fry is redundant.

I can buy a 12lb sack of russet potatoes for that

They do seem to be using one particular McDonald's location that's particularly inflated prices since 2019. A study from financebuzz found that nationally, McDonald's has roughly doubled prices since 2014. McDonald's is certainly inflating prices, but most locations haven't increased prices as much as that particular location has.

That McDonald's location is in Los Angeles, California. Literally everything is more expensive in California than it is anywhere else.

Maybe it will disincentivize people to eat that stuff on the regular. Buying and cooking your own groceries is cheaper.
Barely. It's just me and the wife these days, and I do most of the cooking (so also most of the grocery shopping) and it's hard to get out of there without dropping $30 for a dinner. $1 per bell pepper, $2.50 for celery, hell the French loaf that was $1 two years ago was $3 yesterday. That shite adds up fast. Granted, we could go super cheap and have pb&j's, hamburger helper, or rice and beans for way under that, but for what I would consider a non-extravagant, but decent quality meal for two, with fresh ingrediants, it's getting hard to do for under $25.

Big Mac’s aren’t $7.49.. maybe at the airport.

In any case, Trump wouldn’t fix any of this even if he wasn’t a corporate shill.

It all started in 2020 on his watch, hence the chart cherry picking a time just before that disaster of a last year in office.

China and Dems put the virus in the US
Dems clamor to shut down the grid to which trump reluctantly did
Trump hands out money to keep the nation afloat.
Trump then gets blamed for inflation.

Not like your story is relevant to a discussion of prepared food prices, but where are you buying potatoes for $0.33 a pound right now?

You can get a free medium fries on the app with a purchase of more than a dollar. A mcchicken and a medium fries for less than two bucks and people are complaining. The deals on these apps are ridiculously good.

Lol what? You can’t make a meal for two under $25? Where are you shopping or what the hell are you cooking?
