Instead of sifting through the main thread, can we start one that only lists those who are in need of rescue? Since phones are out, this may be one of the few ways to get the word out.

Cousin and kids sitting in car on I-12 since late yesterday afternoon. Still there this morning waiting for help. They've made contacts for help but resources are short.

There are quite a few people stranded on I-12 at exit 32. Have been there for the past 24 hrs. Some family friends are stuck with their 2 yr old and twin 3 month olds.

Albany is exit 32. Livingston is exit 22. Can you find out which it is?

The Catholic church right south of Exit 32 had its hall open to those stranded. I'm not sure what resources they have left. I'm a mile south of I 12 right there but my road is flooded out and I can't get out. Do they need anything in particular for the kids?

So the water has basically made the Interstate into pockets of islands?

Yes

Just found out National Guard brought out food and water last night but did not evacuate them. Everyone in their cars are having to make the best of it including defecating with no toilet paper. Yikes!

Yep. Each exit is lined up with cars for miles. People got off interstates and are now stranded on highways coming from interstates. There are hundreds of cars lined up on Hwy 43 right here off Albany exit

No they were headed toward Hammond from Denham. Their house on rushing road flooded.

I just mapped it. 3 "Reds" between them and me. It is about 18 miles.

If they can get back this way, we will take them in and care for them (in Madisonville)

I expect I12 at Albany going East to open soon. The Natalbany River crested at 24' last night and has dropped to 17' last I checked. It's went down alot behind my house.

I think I could get on @ Causeway, but they aren't allowing access passed there.

Obliviously water is over in spots. Hopefully today it recedes.

This is a nightmare and feel for those stuck...
