This story plus Officer Jackson's last facebook post just makes this shite even harder to handle. This is a cruel, cruel world sometimes.

Diane posted a selfie with Officer Gerald on her Facebook page. What makes the post even more remarkable, Diane took and posted these pictures two days after Alton Sterling was killed during a struggle with police. At that point tensions were already high and people were starting to take sides. Diane says none of that mattered when she needed help. “To wake up this morning and see a face that just helped me, gone. Life is too short,” she said. “I didn't know him well, but from what I did know from the brief moment, I know he was a good person,” she said. “All cops aren't bad. We are all bad in some ways, but all of us are not bad. Dig deep inside yourself and find out what's important. Life is too short and this one was cut short way too soon.”

That is great to hear! I pray as all these great stories from these hero officers come out this can bring the nation together and make them see that they were great people who help and protected them. May they rest I peace and feel so bad for all their families.

along with hearing how Deputy Garafola left his cover to help a wounded officer.

We need to continue to hear these stories from the public & call out the "leaders" in the community who speak out against the police.

For those readers who might have missed a small detail in the story, Officer Gerald was OFF DUTY when he stopped to help the lady.

Above and beyond.....

No. It just shows how false the BLM narrative really is. These type of stories always come out after officers are killed in the line of duty. BLM tries to lead you to believe that police officers are the bad guys and are terrorizing their neighborhoods.

Yet, everytime an officer is killed, stories of their acts of kindness, bravery, and how they touched people in the very community that BLM tries to convince people they are terrorizing always comes out. ALWAYS.

In a few days, I'm gonna start a thread with the facts and stats pertaining to the city of Baton Rouge to show how bad the issue that Gary Chambers and his crew of misfits have been bitching about. Of course, they are full of shite and I will show that.

But now is not the time for that. It's a time to grieve. Please keep the deceased officers' families in your thoughts and prayers

Exactly, and this story absolutely needs to be part of the national conversation about race relations, cop relations, unity and the like.

America needs to see this example of real everyday people making the effort to help one another and being happy.
