The tech that goes into each brand's supercars are derived from the systems in the F1 cars, just made streetable, ie the KERS system in the 918 and LaFerrari. Then again, a Prius had regen before F1 cars I think.

I'm sure F1 is more efficient. They're squeezing ~1000 hp combined out of these 1.6 liter V6s and Electric motors.

I'm sure they are. I'd just like to see how close the hyper/super cars stack up.

The innovations in F1 cars usually proceed engine, transmission, and suspension upgrades in passenger cars. The engineers are THE cutting edge. None better in the industry

F1 cars get 4.5 mpg. That's not efficient.

Possibly the world's most famous athlete that no one in America knows about
I have to be honest, I have been reading about him and seeing pictures of him for years.

I saw on 60 Minutes recently that he was black. According to 60 Minutes, I should have known that.

The comparison was more of the thermal efficiency of straight electric cars vs hybrid cars

I'm not too much on his earrings, but that dude can wheel a car.

He can take his and outrun you and then take yours and outrun you.

I wonder how the F1's stack up to the i8, P1, 918, and LaFerrari. I believe they share some technology.

Not even in the same realm. Nothing is. It's closer to compare the i8 to a Camry or something.

I find he pouts when he isn't the fastest off the start. Example first F1 race this year.

That was kind of a focus of the piece, that he had some racial deals to overcome.

IDK realize that was the case, tbh.

At 300 km/hr? I beg to differ.

For those asking, it costs about $50,000/km to run a team.

Subtle brag- I may or may not work for a company who has a sister company with a team.

That's true. I still like Vettel & Alonso better as an over all driver. Speaking of Vettel, he had a great start to that race. I just wish his team was as good as Mercedes at strategy.

I haven't watched the second race yet. It's on the DVR though.
