I retired early and have not paid a penny in taxes since.

So many baby boomers did the same thing that it impacted federal budget projections.

Once the government has less money to spend, then maybe they will cut out the useless giveaway programs. Then people will have to get jobs and won't have time to sit around and complain.

I never had time to complain when I was on call 24/7 for my last 30 years.

I've been thinking about the same thing, and as a black man believe it or not it affects me more than it does you.

I'm actually writing a book. not sure when it will be finished. it's real, puts the onus for change on the individual, the family, the kid in school every day, the person headed down the wrong path but is still willing to listen. black "leaders" are mostly full of shite and the black community has not progressed in 60 years under their "leadership." it talks about many things I see every day that only individuals can call out and fix. Black people don't need a leader, they just need something to take pride in and work for.

lots of what needs to be changed can only be done through legislation, but maybe I can do something to change that conversation and give voice to the black people who are embarrassed and negatively affected by this ghetto culture, low expectation bs.

There you go Supersaint. who said there aren't racist around here? PLEASE answer this question FIRST!

Secondly, the only thing blown out of proportion is a portion of the black population blaming EVERYTHING on the white population, business leaders and politicians. The overall black population could make much better strides if they focused more on family values and right from wrong. But that won't matter because even with new schools, new transportation, new facilities for other learning opportunities in their poor neighborhoods an excuse will be made for holding them down.

We need an open carry parade in the FQ
