I did the other day after 26 years. Last time I saw her was 1990 and she was an OT 8 !
I always expected she,d stay that way.
Now she looks horrible. Actually I felt bad for her. I could understand if it was drugs, prison or a hard life but not the case.
Apparently just fell apart over the years.
Totally freaked me out.

Obligatory

When they get older they will resemble their mother/other female family members of blood relation.

Ran into a girl I haven't seen since high school in 1992. She always had a crush on me, but I never was interested because she wasn't very cute.

Turns out she was an ugly duckling. She is stunning now at age 42. Boy did I ever frick that up.

Yep...just last week in fact. I've seen photos over the years on Facebook but until I saw her in person the ravages of time were not apparent.

Holy moly...

She waved at me from across a store and I looked right at her and then looked behind me to see if this stranger was waving at someone else. When I finally recognized her I'm almost positive I did the universal, "Holy shite! You look so different I didn't even recognize you!!!" face...

When I got in my truck after talking to her a bit in the store, I shot this gif to my wife and reminded her how lucky I am! Caption simply read..."You'll never believe who I just ran into..."

I run into them all the time on Facebook. Some times they message back, usually they don't.

Yeah I'm so sure she was an OT 8. Probably more like a 3-4 and Father Time has affected your memories.

This is sometimes true, of course...but the real truth is a lot closer to the fact that most men tend to get a little bit more distinguished looking as they get older. Age looks better on men, assuming they don't get fat or balding, and even then some can make that work. With women, some can pull aging off...but in most cases what tend to be attractive about young women is the very thing which they lose over time.

Thinking about the people on Facebook that I occasionally see from high school on there which is now coming up on 30 years in 2018...many of the guys that stayed in shape have aged pretty well. A handful of women have...no doubt, but most did the mom thing and got married and basically gave up. Just one of those hard truths you see as you get into your 40's and you look back...

I ran into my ex at a party about a year and a half after breaking up. Hadn't seen her since the breakup. Always expected her to pull the whole bs "omggggg how are you?!?!" false excitement schtick, but instead she just gave me a death glare the whole time

I have to say it was pretty satisfying. A++++, would run into angry ex again.

I ran into a tech school fling 15 years after the fact...

Sitting next to my SO when I showed up to a party...

I looked at both of them and said: hey...uh...hey

They both looked at me said hey, then looked at each other...

Awkward as shite

Saw mine at a funeral a few weeks back, she's 49 and dating a 71 yr old ha ha

She was always a gold digger but has out done herself this time.

Good Sunday to you too.... dick!

I ran into THE old flame years back and it was only after 4-5 years. So she still looked the same. See her on FB too and she essentially looks the same.

What is funny is that one of her Facebook pics is of her and her son. The son looks about the age we were when I was infatuated with her. The guy she ended up with must have been the "baby's" daddy. Because he looks just like him. she is now divorced and remarried.

When I saw her those years ago though I froze. Talked to her but just chit chat. She even randomly mentioned she was divorcing her husband. It was unprompted. I was too stupid to even explore if that was a hint.

Doesn't matter... I'm married. Had/have sex. Have a son.

Did see one hook up on facebook though. WOW!! I dodged a bullet. She made a complete transformation. Thinning hair and LARGE. Like the OP said about his, I feel bad for her. She was/is a genuinely nice person. Just got married, comfy and let herself GO!

No, this never happens to anyone but you. Everyone else moves to other planets after a breakup. True story.
