I would not say "caught" but a manager I worked for at Dominos smoked freely in the back office.

i ski bummed in coloraod for a season.
saw alto of it on the job. but I never did it while working. Never cared that others did it, I just have morals and shite.

Yes, I have worked many manual labor jobs. One worker smoked crack, a few meth, and lots smoke weed or synthetic. I fired the smoking crack guy for smoking it in someone's front yard. The weed smokers never got too high to do their jobs

Too true. I can recall moving into the dorms at nicholls my first semester. Had a building meeting. One of the things the ra's addressed was "do any of y'all smoke?" I didn't skip a best. "Smoke what?? You mean cigarettes?" I'm certain I was stoned as balls.

I waited tables at a restaurant in college and a lot of the back-of-the-house employees would do marijuana on their breaks. We would always call the cops when it happened but they would usually hide the dope before any of them could get arrested.

When I was framing houses our cut man always blazed up at lunch. Another guy that was and old rodeo friend of mine that was on our crew snuck off one day and I found him hitting the crack pipe on my truck

No. But I have seen a dude show up to work once so drunk that he couldn't find his own time card. This was back in the mid-90's. Guy had the worst case of alcoholism I've ever seen. you could smell it coming out of his pores and he'd have the shakes by lunchtime if he did not get him a drink first. He was in such a bad condition that he couldn't even drink a lot any longer. Instead he'd drink a few mini and that would get him drunk off his arse. It was like he'd become saturated with alcohol to the point he was pickled.
The time card incident was the straw that finally broke the camel's back. They fired him. That was the last I ever saw of him but I heard he died in a motel room sometime after that. He lay in there for days until someone finally started to smell him from what I've heard.
Really sad part is I've been told that at one point he was a normal family guy with a wife and kids. Story was that she up and left him for another dude, took his kids and moved to another state. This left him a broken man and he turned to the bottle and slowly drank himself to death. The whole thing with the wife and kids supposedly happened before I met him. By the time I knew him he was already pretty far gone.

yep, and also have known many that have 6 pack lunches (even breakfast for that matter), I make sure to keep a distance from all those types.
Also worked with many who were totally straight kiss asses, that would get people hurt too, they might be the worst.
