Blackmail your company.

Tell them you know what's going down and you want $$$ to keep it a secret, otherwise you go public with your information.

You write a memo detailing your knowledge of the company's plans and keep it some place secure like a bank safe deposit box. You authorize someone you trust, like a family member, to have access to the box in case of your death–and you inform your employer of this, so they can't knock you off in hopes of keeping their plan secret.

You have here a golden opportunity to cash in big, you lucky dog–don't blow it.

I would most definitely spill it anonymously. Via a letter through the USPS. And mail it from outside a ZIP Code where you reside.

That won't make the news. You'll have to include the info in a story about Trump groping someone.

So you find out the firm you work at is being purchased in 6 months and everyone will be let go. You aren't supposed to know and leaking that info or even letting people know anything was awry could have serious legal/financial repercussions so that's out question You you work with a bunch of really good, competent people that you want to let know to GTFO now though. WWTOTD?

Your ethics should slant toward your fellow workers who will be blindsided in a few months. I'd spill it and quickly.

Spilling the beans or even hinting around that something is going on is out of the question. Already have something else lined up too. The only thing I can think of is to drop hints to people I know at other companies that now would be a good time to "steal" some employees.

How feasible is it that someone would buy a company and let all it's staff go?

Someone may have said this to get you to leave the company.

If you are a poor worker, they are tired of working with you.

If you are a good worker, they want you to leave so they can get promoted to your job.

Or, maybe your secret admirer is looking out for you.....

Do you know what your severance pkg will look like?
What state is business located in?
Is it a public traded company?
How big is the business?
How long have you worked there?

How did the company treat you as an employee?

Rule one- take care of yourself and your family first
Rule two- take care of close friends( if it does not violate rule one)

You should get a job and get out ASAP- it is easier to get a job when you have a job-
