It's despicable. These are young children that shouldn't be punished or humiliated for something the parents obviously need to clear up.
Well, I don't know what bubble she's been living in. Welcome to the real world, bitch!

Is the goal now to keep all kids from ever being humiliated? I remember a kid David from grade school that got humiliated after being caught eating his snot. I bet that kid never ate snot again. At least not in front of other people.

Scruffy needs to come out from under that rock and enjoy a man's meal. They are measurably better, the science supports it

Who would steal 30 bag lunches?

What kid has such crappy parents that they don't provide a simple couple of dollars for lunch?
Lots. My fiance is a counseler at the local schools and she regularly tells me she sees kids that don't eat for a day at a time. Then the mom's boyfriend yells at them for eating the chips in the pantry. She brings bags of trail mix when she meets with them and one kid will just wolf it down. Feel bad for these kids. They did not choose to complete shitbags for parents.

Did this article once ask the question to the parents as to what was preventing them from paying for the lunches?

What's the 10 year old supposed to do? Go get a job like the rest of us? I say give him the lunch and call social services on the parents. Embarrass them (although they usually don't give a frick about that either). Parenting is going to be the downfall of this country. Not politics.

No, it does question whether they were properly notified about a low or negative balance before pulling this stunt.

From the article:
Not to thread hijack, but is anyone else absolutely sick of the word "bullying" being used in our schools every three minutes?
Didn't get picked first in recess kickball? You were bullied. Someone snickered at your shitty science fair project? You were bullied. And here, your have a negative balance and don't get to eat lunch, you were "bullied, humiliated and embarrassed".
I have four kids, all in elementary and middle school and you wouldn't believe the PC nonsense brainwashing they have to go through about "bullying". They have seminars and workshops and class meetings about behavior that is in no way shape or form bullying. Yet, the word is trotted out daily as this evil behavior that must be stopped immediately.
My 5 year old came home from school on Monday and told my oldest child that he was being a "B word" for not sharing his snack. I asked what the "B word" was, thinking I had a kindergartener who knew what "bitch" meant. She looked very concerned and whispered, "Daddy, you know- the B word. Bully." Christ almighty. My 5 year old thinks she's a victim because her brother wouldn't give her his snack. Thanks, public schools.

proves how stupid of a move it was to do this over a small amount of $.
the best part is how they complained about losing money on these kids and then turned around and threw all the food away. BRILLIANT!
This embodies to the core the plight between conservatism and liberalism.
Congrats on the liberalism.
