The way I figure it my quitting the use of my petro fuled machines is not going to make a damn bit of difference in decreasing the carbon footprint of man.

Convince me that me driving a combustible engine car has any effect on the air your breathing.

Not at all. I don't do that. Reason being that action directly effects the physical appearance of the area and possibly the sensibilities of those around me. Plus society frowns on that activity and it's trashy as frick.

My minuscule carbon footprint does nothing that directly or really indirectly effects anyone.

Park your car in the garage and run the engine for a while.

It wasn't a suggestion, I was demonstrating how harmful exhaust is to ones health.

Nvm, it was a suggestion.

I'd love to have electric stuff that performs as well as IC. I have wires that bring the fuel directly to my house and it is cheaper. However, at this time most of the electric stuff is junk. I'm all for figuring it out.

It was once said that we would have more advancement in battery power but the oil companies managed to stall progress, this is probably bs. Our American economy depends upon fossil fuel at this time so the transition will take a long time, imho.

A battery is a energy storage device, not a source of energy, it has to be continuously recharged, and at this time that is going to be done with electricity generated with fossil fuels, that and the almost non-existent effect on overall fuel consumption by hybrid cars means O&G companies have little interest in the state of battery technology.

Hell BMW came out and said they doubt they make an internal combustion engine in 15 years.

I read the link and I didn't see this statement in there. If anything it talked about how much EV's suck, people don't want them and the best chance for them to be embraced at all is if wacko's like the EU force them down consumer's throats.

Jesus man did you read the first paragraph? I don't care how Nasdaq spun it, the fact is BMW said it.

They have interest in fuel cell technology which does incorporate a battery
