Electric this, electric that

Am the only one that really doesn't give two sh*ts whether my car, boat , or even lawn equipment runs on good old fossil fuels.
The way I figure it my quitting the use of my petro fuled machines is not going to make a damn bit of difference in decreasing the carbon footprint of man.
In fact the more and more I see people caving to the tree hugger pressure the more I want to fill er up!
The only way to have these alternative sources of power actually be mainstreamed is to have Uncle Sam outlaw the combustion engine. Otherwise, anyone that thinks they are making a damn bit of a difference is freaking fool.

You're posting inside a house that runs strictly off of fossil fuels, right? You aren't cheating by having the electric company convert it first, are you?

Entergy is breaking ground on a solar + storage power plant right now. Fossil fuels are going to be marginalized more and more every year. Hell BMW came out and said they doubt they make an internal combustion engine in 15 years.

Perhaps you should get rid of anything you own that is electric. You can become a settler, minus the cable tv of course.

I forgot how much basic reading comprehension was lacking on the rant. If you read closely i specially am referring to replacement of "petro-fuel machines" in favor of some bs propaganda about me doing my part not against the use of electricity.

OP is deranged. Sometimes people get electric this and electric that because it's what they PREFER and it has nothing to do with hugging trees.
Battery powered devices are improving at a rapid rate while gas powered devices are somewhat stagnant. Eventually electric will be superior in every way.

I am the OP on the mower thread.
I simply hate yard work but don't want to pay anyone to do it. The Lithium ion batteries have come a long way.
I'm not a tree hugger but I hate the hassle. I need a new mower and this one caught my eye. If I can't mow my medium size yard in one charge I'm not interested.

I should have had my flying car 20 years ago, most predictions about energy have been and will continue to be just about as accurate.
