That still doesn't change the fact that you think someone should go to jail for a week for drinking as little as two beers.
I don't think that. I think you should have jail time for a week if you drink enough to make you legally drunk (everyone knows their limit) and then drive.

"Impeding the flow of traffic" while stopped outside of a bar for no more than a minute trying to pick up drunk people. Most BS ticket I've ever heard of, to be honest.

Apparently you do think that.

entering the double yellow line median to get to the turn lane. 1-2 car lengths before the actual opening of said turn lane

They use to always hassle us for window tint being too dark back in the day.

If two beers makes you legally drunk, then I think you shouldn't drive. I don't think I'm being excessive here.

My transmission went out at the turnstile of that parking garage on convention between Lafayette st and third st years ago
The attendant helped my push my truck into the nearest spot; a handicapped one
I got a $500 ticket for parking in a handicapped zone
What is worse, I showed up to the court date to plead with the prosecutor and my name wasn't on the docket, so I thought maybe the ticket was lost
A few months later I get pulled over for bulb being out on my license plate, the trooper calls in and I have a warrant
I spent the next 2 days in EBRPP while my people tried to bond me out, realized I couldn't be released until that ticket was paid, and finally they got it all handled and I got out

Do you realize how unaffected you are at "legally drunk" levels?
It should be based more on an individual's sobriety test than some arbitrary number. And don't tell me .08 is anything more than arbitrary.

That is incredibly messed up. Jesus.

Improper Use of the Turn Lane when I was 17.
I was on the highway right in front of our high school. I put on my signal and got into the turn lane to turn left at the traffic light onto the road the school sits off of. Pulled over and got ticketed, because apparently I entered the turn lane too early.

Was at a 4-way stop once and the copper pulled me over. I asked him why I was pulled over b/c my tags were still valid - he said (literally) "I smelled dope coming from your car". I said "So at a 4-way stop, you can smell dope from that far away? If that is the case, you should replace your K9.....with yourself"
He knew he wouldn't have anything on me. I refused to let him check my car b/c of this bogus stop, so he did the cop-shuffle and said "ok, I'll be watching you". Dumbshit piglet.

I understand your thinking here but I'm saying that the law is there to prevent people from drinking and driving. It's purposely set low like that so people don't drive after drinking even a little bit. If someone's stupid enough to do it anyway, knowing how easily they could be legally drunk, then they deserve jail time for being stupid.

Both of my speeding tickets thru Livingston Parish. I was not even 10 mph over the limit for both

If we're going to put people in jail for being stupid, we're going to need a lot more prisons.

Well considering you usually only have 4 or 5 miles leeway, you shouldn't be surprised.

How much over the limit were you over that you think they were "dumb?"

I got a "failure to yield leaving a private residence" ticket. Was horse shite. The speed limit on the road was 35 and the cop was going at least 50. Even then, he had to slow down but not throw on brakes. I took a left onto E Boyd leaving Pluckers back road and he was going toward Nicholson so he was going opposite direction as I did. He pulled a U turn and gave me that crap ticket.
