What are the laws that pertain to someone flying a drone over your house ? specifically one with a camera on it. This happened this weekend when my kids were swimming in the pool and a neighbor from a few houses over was flying the drone over my house.

There are no laws for drones and homes. It's the Wild West in the sky right now.

I believe it's one huge gray area at the moment.

There was a thread on this a while back. Your property stops somewhere between 80-500 ft over your house. It isn't clearly defined.

That doesn't mean that you can just destroy it for being in "your airspace", though.

If you can knock it out of the sky and it falls on your property it's yours

Don't worry. Most cops admit they don't even know the laws.

The law really hasn't caught up with this technology before. Although, you could try to knock it down and then it's yours.

ETA: yellowfin beat me to it.

Don't listen to this fool.

Destroy it for being in your airspace. Post video, please.

Shoot a 747 down with a SAM the next time one flies over your property.

No one knows yet but I'm designing an entire system to protect said airspace.

the possibly of drones delivering pizza for dominos one day has probably got a lot of domino drivers who already don't give a shite about their job, worried sick.
