Is this documented as law anywhere? It makes sense, but I'm just curious if it is.

F**K THA POLICE!
I'm currently texting while driving through a school zone and flicking cigarettes, while on my way to kick a referee's arse.

I drove with headphones in for about 3 hours on the way to the cruise we took back in March. Kids asleep in the back and my wife asleep up front. Couldn't play the radio loud enough to hear without risking waking the baby. It was like midnight to 3 am on interstates though. Pretty sure I would have seen flashing lights long before hearing any sirens.

Why does that bother you?

Probably because driving with music blasting into your head isn't conducive to driving.

OP is a child because he doesn't want to be on the road with someone who can't hear what is going on around them? Sure.

This applies to mostly everyone on a cellphone or at least messing with one.

Also people smoking cigarettes and driving. If I'm behind a head up their arse driver invariably they are either smoking or dickin around with their phone. In my area it's usually smoking.

I have literally NEVER heard this before now. If it is a law, it is definitely not enforced

Are you sure, is there evidence to support that blasting music leads to more accidents?

Not illegal. Deaf people can drive so it doesnt matter if they hear sirens etc.

Pretty sure the headphones are illegal, but one earbud is o.k. I drive all over South Louisiana every day for work and see lots of people eating, drinking, texting, smoking, reading, you name it. Most of them are very distracted and cannot stay in their lane. Now the ones with limo tint on the windows, who knows what may be going on in there.
