The DOT would need to put minimum speed limit signs like other states have.

What an idiot. They need to lock up those who text and drive, they are a much bigger problem.

Yeah. Self-driving cars, unlike the OP, understand the concept of a "limit."

That would be great.

It beats the frick out of guys going 55 in the right lane and left lane at the same time next to each other

Most interstates are rated for at least 80 mph. The reason for 70 mph speed limit is not for safety. Once autonomous vehicles come they will bump up the speed limit because they won't be writing tickets.

Loss of revenue from traffic tickets and stops is actually a scary prospect for LEO. They won't have reasonable suspicion to pull over whoever they want to.

Hey c.unt, this threads about driving under the speed limit on the interstate.

Text and driving is a huge problem in relation to accidents and traffic and deaths related to it but it's not a major cause of this thread topic.

Our company trucks have GPS that monitors our speed. They'll ding you for 1 MPH, 5, and 10 over. It's frustrating after getting passed up by a Prius....

Thank God I'm from Texas and have plenty to spare.
