Dr. Dan Erickson of Bakersfield, CA Has Tested 5K+ People For Covid 19

His opinion is that this is much to do about nothing. A few bullet points from the video:
1. The answer as to whether or not we need to continue to stay at home and keep businesses closed is an emphatic "NO."
2. Covid-19 is in fact no more dangerous than seasonal flu.
3. Quarantining is a health hazard in and of itself.
4. ER doctors are being pressured to add Covid-19 to death reports.
5. Not about science. Not about Covid-19. When they use the word "safe" - that's about controlling you.
As Dale Gribble would say...this is all an egg head government plot....

One doctor out of how many...?
5K tests sounds like a lot but this has been going on for months. I'd bet there are many docs who have tested as much. Wonder what they feel?

Valid point? There are numerous doctors that have been saying the same things, some for weeks. But they don’t align with all important narrative of millions dying, so their messages receive little to no platform.

The OP brought the opinion of an experienced medical professional. That's a valid point. You brought a lot of uneducated speculation. That is not a valid point.

Again, numbers. Serious question, how many doctors have come out and said this is overblown and no worse than a flu season?
My point is you could easily find many more doctors who disagree. What makes this guy's opinion better than the majority? Because you happen to share his viewpoint?

There have been several doctor's posted that have said the same thing. I've noticed at least with the media every doctor stating we are just begining the pandemic seemingly works for the state or federal government.

This makes no sense to me. Hospitals are hemorrhaging money. States are watching tax dollars evaporate. Even in the best case scenario they won’t come out on top IF the feds bail them out.

His “data”? These two jokers run urgent cares in California. They aren’t ER doctors.
These are the 2 guys that tested 5,000 people that came to their urgent cares and found 19% have COVID. They then used this number to say 19% of the entire country has COVID. Sorry, that’s not how it works. Those people came in because they were sick.
The only truthful statement this guy makes is that we need to get back to work and open up.

People disagree about a lot of things within the same field, science has proven that. There is no right or wrong way to handle it unless you are for or against the opinion. However, forcing people to sit at home is pointless. Open it back up, look at Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc people are out and about anyway. Open it up and tell people they are not forced into anything.
