This is an awesome thread. Some background was needed but left out though. Is she quality, both in looks, education and personality? Is this a temporary job while she is in school? Do you consider her to be long term material, with long term being defined as over a year? I ask because you should be sure that she has something going on for her too. Not just a future settlement of cash and prizes at your expense.
It is funny that the concern is for future possible spit in your coffee. This would probably be after you put your tongue in multiple places with bacteria, or worse.
My advice is to date her, treat her good, and if a breakup occurs, make it amicable and friendly. Then you can still eat there.
Also, sorry your favorite breakfast place is chosen from geographical convenience and not for the awesome food.
