Do you find this to be more beneficial than buying from the store? Also, are there any other shave clubs similar to this that are better?

They must be doing something right because, look at the 800 pound gorilla (Gillette) getting in on the action, now.

DSC looks pretty decent, they sell their blades (DORCO) on Amazon.

Harry's is the other big shave club. They've both come about because Gillette is way too expensive, now.

You will get many suggestions on here from many of us to try a double-edge safety razor. I've made the switch and am completely happy.

For the record, I don't think there's ANYTHING for a dollar from Dollar Shave Club.

I found dollar shave club blades to be pooer quality compares to Gillette. Didn't last as long.

I then switched to a safety razor which gives a much smoother, non irritating shave for much less $$

Been using DSC for a couple years now. I don't grow a ton of facial hair but I work in a clean shave job so I shave twice a week. They work great for my needs and I spend less money than I would in store razor blades. Wife uses them too and complains a lot less than she did about store blades.

I use Harry's. My only complaint is if I wait a few days to shave and my hair is a little longer the blades don't clean in the water very well.

I never had that problem with the Mach III's

Edwin Jagger DE 89 This is suggested often, especially over at Badger & Blade

I also purchased THIS on from Amazon. I have an Astra blade in it, and it gives a hell of a good shave. The razor, by itself can be bought for $12.00. This set with razor, a really good badger brush, and the stand is a great deal.
Perfecto razor, stand and brush.

Feather blades are really sharp, and one should really wait until they've been "wet shaving" for a bit before you try them.

Try some Wilkinson Swords, Shark and/or Astra blades first.

Watch a YouTube video on how to use a safety razor. It's not hard, but a little different technique than a normal razor. Let the razor's weight do the work

Double edge safety razor for the win. I can't believe how much money I've wasted over the years trying the Gillette this or Schick that and still got razor burns and a shitty shave. I just purchased 200 Feather blades for my safety razor that's enough blades for almost 4 years at one blade a week. After the initial purchase of the razor, safety razor shaving has to be the cheapest and closest shave you will get.

Use cold creek water with a hunting knife for a true man's shave.

Amazon Safety Razor Variety Pack

I bought my razor handle from Wal-Mart, I like it well enough that I would buy it again. It came with a pack of 10 blades and they were decent to. I like shaving with the safety razor so I ordered the Astras that come it the variety pack listed above. I also ordered some Shaving Cream and this badger hair brush. Overall i'm quite satisfied with everything and actually enjoy shaving.
