I'm sure it can't be easy on the wallet.

140-160lbs depending on the time of year. He eats 40lbs of kibble a month plus scraps. Much cheaper to feed than my bulldogs were.

To anyone thinking of getting one. They are much closer to a wolf than they are a dog. Not genetically. Behaviorally. They are highly intelligent pack animals. Loyal. Calm but wary. They are sneaky. Playful. Dangerous.

They are a dog that you can't treat like a normal dog. You have to open doors with your body blocking the handles so they can't see it happen. They cannot be auto fed. They have to see you as a provider or they won't give any respect AT all.

Mine went through puppy training, and was completely trained in two days. However, when his trainer tells him to sit now, he stares him down. If I give him a hard glance, he will lay on his back submissive.

They are predatory.

When coyotes are out, he begs to go out and will lie in the tall grass in his yard on summer nights and whine like a puppy. He'll do it for hours, until one or two of them are dumb enough to jump his fence. They go in the yard expecting an easy meal. Instead, he finds them.

As for his behavior, he eats ice cream cines straight from the girls at sonic or McDonald's, he doesnt let men near the vehicle. He only likes dogs he already knows. Doesn't care about male or female, he just has to know the dog and know they aren't dangerous. He follows my wife from room to room.

He's a large goofy puppy.

He's also incredibly intelligent and lethal.

We originally bought him to protect our bulldogs from coyotes when we would leave them in the yard until we got home. He did so. Now that they're gone, we can't get another puppy until he is. Don't have time for them to get adjusted with each other.

My experience with dogs is that they are very good judges of character.

I had two Neapolitan mastiffs. One time the male who was about 150 lbs at 7-8 months got a hold of my hand playing in the yard one day. Holy frick that hurt and he didn't even clamp down hard. Can't imagine him going 100%.

So she doesn't like black people.

Just say, she doesn't like black people.

I cleaned a 200lb hog onetime that one of my Dogos got a big bite on its head. Basically fractured its skull. Supposedly a dogos bite is int the mid to upper 500lbpsi range. Can't imagine the carnage of the others with a higher bite force!!!!

The "all day" pork bones typically last the ride home from tractor supply.

Dogos are beautiful dogs. Love the story of the one that saved the little girls from the mountain lion.

Dachshunds are the number 1 most aggressive breed.

They just aren't' big enough to do a lot of damage.

i went through this when i chose mine. everything i read is males will be very goofy, clumsy, and affectionate, where the female is more refined, elegant, require more love from you for her to show her affection.

also if the males will will have a rougher time around other male dogs always wanting to show who the alpha is. I havent had too much trouble with this but i am alway on top of it when we are out at the park. i make sure he and what ever other dog i there that i am the alpha and everyone stay relatively calm.

my neighbor had friends over one time and they just let there male dog run out in our yard while we were outside. MY dog just saw this stranger sprinting at us and i have never seen my dog turn so aggressive. hair on his back came up and he bolted for him and once that dog saw mine running at him he stopped in his tracks. i run in yelling at both of them and they stayed separated, but i was afraid my dog was about to kill that dog.

One that doesn't shed or stink, Human Tornado. You can train the other aspects, except pit bulls.

I am partial to females. In my opinion, they'll weigh less than the male, which helps with your pocket book. Plus, if they piss, it's a squat whereas a male is a spray (in early training stages).

But either sex of the dog, you'll be getting a great and loyal companion, that you'll come to know as "Velcro" because they will always be right by your side.
