They may look slightly different, but the American staffordshire was APBT that was registered as a staffie with the AKC. It is the same dog, just named different.

All you have to do is look up the history of the American staffordshire. They came from the Colby bloodline of APBT. The AKC just changed the name. Every American staffordshire is off of Colby APBT. Look it up.

I was watching the documentary "blackfish" the other day about that killer whale in captivity that killed three trainers. That whale was trained to do backflips at the blow of a whistle. It doesn't change the fact that it only takes a split second to flip a switch and seriously injure or kill someone.

It's an analogy, of course there are differences. Doesn't change the fact that both resort back to their natural wild tendencies and kill someone every now and then.
