I promise you she does not do everything that a good SAHM does

and that is not a slight towards your wife, I'm sure she is a great woman, but it is impossible with that schedule to do everything

Yeah you might want to look at the research before you spout BS that you are basing on a narrow sample of you and those you know.

Maybe you should do some research as well. Honestly, it doesn't matter all that much as I'm a huge believer in nature over nurture.

You left out tennis at 10 am, followed by Zea from 11:30 - 1:30.

Then grocery shop.

At the bus stop right on time at 3:30.

All of this is important, but not "busy."

Does she have this thing?

After you overcome the drop in income, you'll be shocked at how efficient this arrangement is.

(And Coco, in no way, compensated me for endorsing this course of action.)

It really is a full-time job. Once the baby is in K, maybe she will be ready to go back to work. For us, it was never worth it - Mrs. Midnight was working to pay the daycare - once we did the A/B analysis on that - it was simple to keep her at home, at least until the kids started school.

We have the same schedule maybe add 30 minutes. I understand people can do as they please. People are wired differently. There is no wrong or right. Just a difference in opinion.

No one, to my knowledge anyway. I can't imagine it's easy.

She does not do everything a stay at home mother does...sorry

She leave work to taxi kids around in the middle of the day to soccer, t ball, karate?

She duck out the office early to have dinner ready when you get home?

Do you pay someone to clean your house?

Who stays home when the kids are sick and can't go to school/work?

How many hours on a typical week day do your kids get to spend quality time with a parent?

I don't think there's anything wrong with both parents working and it's what most choose but don't act like there aren't sacrifices ...I know families with one income makes them to get what they want.

This is obviously going to be the biggest hurdle, but the drop in daycare expenses will help that tremendously.

Just a matter of getting everything in order to keep it running in order just like everything else.

As for CoCo, she wants to stay home. Spend more time with the kids. Be able to keep an orderly, clean home. She has schedules. She has chores. She already has TONS of things planned and she hasn't even quit yet.

After a while, I'm sure she will miss working here and there. I've been pushing her to get her realtor license because I know she'll be great at that. But at the moment, it's the kids and home first until they are at least in K and we will go from there.

You are right. The dishes may not get done one night or laundry, but that isn't a big enough deal to stay at home.

Maybe she's a teacher and has the same schedule s the kids.

Maybe she's a teacher and can get home by 4 to get dinner ready.

Maybe she's not a lazy piece of shite and keeps the house clean as the week goes by. Even better, maybe her husband isn't a lazy piece of shite and helps clean the house.

Maybe they have grandparents around. Maybe she takes off work on those rare times that a kid is sick.

dude, my wife works, but you are being dishonest with yourself if you do not see the value of one parent staying at home, even with the kids in school
