re: Does your boss let you leave work early on Friday's?

Yea I don't have a boss at our branch and even if I did I can leave when I want. I am responsible for my work, when its complete, leave. Honestly I don't have to work at all on fridays as my time is reimbursed by the client 10hrs a day M-Th.

The office setting I work in is why I turn down offers for more salary all the time. Cant put a price on absolute freedom.

Old job I used to roll out at 3:00 on Fridays. Then it became a corporate policy to have a fricking meeting every single Friday from 3:00-5:00. Granted we usually finished up by 4:40, but the last thing I usually want to do on a Friday is summarize everything I did for the week in front of 30 people. One of the reasons I left.

Start my new gig on Monday, but can't imagine they'll keep me past 3:00 on Friday like my past job did.

This thread reminds me of a boss I had years ago.

He came into the department around 3 o'clock one Friday afternoon and announced, "I'm going to leave early today. All of you can leave whenever you want to. All I ask is that you don't knock me down on the stairs on your way out....."

my boss has no clue when I work. He cuts out around 2pm every friday. If i have work to do, I do it. if not, I cut out when I feel like it.

I will be clocking out around 3pm today. I traveled for work this week, so its all good. No one would complain about what I did this week.

eta: I don't really care if the people who work for me leave early today, assumign they get their stuff done. one usuaully doesn't, but making her work late isn't going to solve that. So she can go.
