Does our universe exist within the black hole in another 4 dimensional universe?

There was a thread about the universe and it's creation yesterday that was anchored (I think due to the title) but raised an interesting topic, the Big Bang, singularities, and the creation of the universe.
One of the more interesting theories out there on this revolves around the singularity and the fact that there are only two places in the history of the universe where such a thing exists, the Big Bang and inside Black Holes.
An article here on Nature describes it: LINK
Using math and physics way beyond anything I'll be able to comprehend they've come up with the theory that inside the singularity of a Black Hole (assumedly every Black Hole even) is a separate two-dimensional universe (see the Holographic Principle) and conversely our own three dimensional universe (excluding time as a dimension, just talking spacial) exists inside the singularity at the center of a Black Hole located inside a four dimensional universe.
Theoretically a star existing the four dimensional universe could have went supernovae, collapsed into a black hole, and that's what spawned our own universe. If looking at images such as Hubble's Deep Field made you feel insignificant before, just think that our own universe could be only one of billions located inside Black Holes across a four dimensional universe, and there's no telling how far that chain goes (5, 6, infinity?).

How fricking high are you?

Fairly sleepy but that's it.

Do you think everything's extremely dark and the only light there is the energy within our other existence?
What if we're the alternate universe?
What if we're already dead but instead of heaven/hell or being reincarnated you just move to a different dimension

Space hurts my head
Truly amazing just how little we know

Multi-Universe / Infinite-Universe theory is pretty established.
Excellent "Radio Lab" where Physicist Brian Greene discusses this.

I've stopped trying to even comprehend the universe. It just starts pissing me off because of how impossible to understand it is. Now, with that being said this quote pretty much sums up my position on the universe:

And we won't even scratch the surface in our life time. Probably not for another couple centuries.
All these crazy discoveries we've had since the beginning of time... but we haven't even scratched the surface. I'd love to be frozen for a century or so and see how far we've come or regressed.

This would explain inflationary theory, the faster than light expansion of the universe shortly after the Big Bang. There's kinks to be worked out (thanks to the mapping of the cosmic microwave background), but interesting theory nonetheless.
Timeline of the Big Bang and subsequent creation of the universe as we see it today:
Cosmic Microwave Background - the temperature differences leftover from the Big Bang. The important thing to note here is that although the differences are extremely minor, it's not uniform. This is likely the farthest thing back in time we'll ever be able to see:

The measure problem is a major stumbling block. Infinity and statistics don't play well together. One way around the measure problem is to have a single observer that can see all, kind of like God. A lot of the "cutting edge" theory that is being published is off the wall attempts to find work arounds for current limitations in our understanding of observable universe.

i dk what all this holographic, singularity, math and physics mumbo jumbo is all you need to know is God. God made it all and gawd dammit if you dont blee dat then you going to hell ya hear me?

There was a thread on here one time that I can't find, an "explain it to me like I'm 5" explanation of black holes that was literally the only thing I've ever read that made anything about space understandable. I think the main guy replying was a physicist or at the very least very read up on the subject, I wish I could find it.

So our universe is just one russian doll in set of russian dolls?
