Saw the 1970's King Kong the other day and thought of the Towers.

Imagine if you were of the few unlucky souls to eat copious amounts of mushrooms the night before

As you're mind just begins clearing up to normal the same day, you see the towers fall an hour later at 8AM

Nope! Still tripping balls, guess I'm never gonna come back down

I was in college and had a real late night drinking binge. When my mom called and told me to turn on the TV because we were under attack, I thought I was still drunk. When I turned on the TV and the 2nd plane hit live on TV, I sobered the frick up real quick

If I were to ever work in such a tall building, I would keep a parachute in my office. Chance of survival would at least be a little better.

I remember that Tuesday, being hungover, getting up and seeing MTV on the TV showing a CNN feed that said "America at War". I hopped in my car, and drove to LSU and got my roommates said we were at war and had to get ready. I thought it was WW3. I just knew New York and DC were under attack. Then we all came home and just watched the news for a few days.

Yes commie. Is the earth flat and jimmy hoffa still alive in your mind?

no. Jimmy Hoffa was before my time and there's plenty enough proof for me that the Earth is indeed round.

Can you point me to any concrete evidence that we did get OBL? any photo or video record? (Serious question) Anything other than the government's account of what happened? The only evidence I have seen is that we haven't seen any propaganda videos from him since then.

The only thing that blows my mind is WTC 7 sacrificed itself out of pity for its fallen brethren. I didnt know buildings could feel emotion. At least thats the only explanation I and every structural engineer ever, could come up with.

I wish they had built them back exactly as they were (with obviously a better internal structure in place to stop another attack from being as brutal)

They WTC towers were already design to sustain impact. Oh wait, thats right. FROM THIS EXACT SAME SCENARIO!

Any capacity of rational thought really. Like how someone could possibly pull this off without someone fricking it up or ratting them out. There would have to be thousands in on it, and our government is far too incompetent to pull it off. This is a Watchmen level conspiracy, and while only 6 people knew of that plot, even Ozy couldn't cover that up, nevertheless thousands being involved.

Oh, so you mean like maybe MKUltra?

Or how about Gulf of Tonkin?

Not big enough?

So like the Manhattan Project? One that included literally thousands of people.

Or do you mean like Operation Paperclip?\

Nah. What am I saying? Thats just crazy talk. I should take off my tinfoil hat.

Whats actually amazing is the mental gymnastics of people who wont believe the government of the most powerful nation ever could have pulled this off but totally buy that a bunch of cave dwelling, religious zealots, who couldnt even get past their pre-flight checklist could pull it off.

They'd still be there if Ronald Reagan hadn't empowered, educated, betrayed, and armed Osama Bin Laden.
