Does Costco normally charge tax online?

Because I may or may not have just made some purchases and not been charged sales tax.

If they ship the order to a state that has a Costco location they should charge tax.

I do know if you order tires on their site, they'll ship to the store and they'll install them but there's a portion of the tax that isn't charged. It saved me a good bit last year vs buying in the store. They didn't stock my size in store anyway.

It was a box of their protein bars. Not like it made a huge difference but made me feel good

Only worry about the 5% state. The IRS doesnt collect sales tax. The LDR does. They have the ability to garnish and levy but sales tax has to be self reported.

Not that I would know anything about this kind of situation, but if a company has nexus in Louisiana, it's supposed to charge sales tax on taxable products.
