He is a great guitar player. I don't like his songs anymore. Some of his originals are ok. And I really liked his version of "you'll never leave Harlan alive"

He puts on a good show. I'm not a big fan of his music but I saw his free show in Auburn a few years ago. Definitely brings out the guitar skills.

I agree with you, but country music in the last several years is corny pop music with the beat altered to the downbeat and a steel guitar to give the illusion that it's somehow down home country music. It's a terrible product but people are sheep.

He was alright back in the day. I can't remember any of his songs now, but I remember thinking he was OK at the time.
