Lol... find a better place to live homeboy. Duplexes are only good if you have like 5 french bulldogs and smoke in your car.

My next door neighbor's dogs bark often pretty late into the night. Its pretty aggravating. But it doesn't make me not like dogs. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and I don't ever plan on not having one.

Cats on the other hand suck. Id rather get bit by a dog than scratched up by a cat. Devilish little frickers

I have bark collars I put on my dogs at night. I have it set on vibrate and it works well. If I forget to recharge it the dogs don't know and it still works.

Had dogs nextdoor in my 20's in BR. I'd put Tylenol PM's in a weiner ever night for 6 months. It would take about 15 mins and they would sleep all night.

Well... i got a Rottweiler for protecting my house from meth-o-dists... He only barks if something is moving around outside.

Far as I'm concerned he is doing his job.

Visiting friends whose dogs constantly bark is upsetting. We've stopped going to people's houses because of the barking. Too many people have untrained dogs. I've owned dogs my whole life and have never had a dog that incessantly barks nonstop.

I never understood why other peoples dogs bark, but mine never do. Until I realized that training for obedience and hunting somehow affects the dogs desire to bark.

I currently have a yorkie and lab and neither bark. The yorkie may throw out a quick yap when someone walks in the house because it gets startled, but she stops immediately. It's definitely something I'm passing on to my kids. I will not let them be bad dog owners.

I do the same thing. All I have to do is walk outside w my BB gun and he moves along and finds something else to do. Still have to do that often because he's a very excited and young energetic basset hounds and wants to meet the neighbors. I just worry so badly about the neighbors I haven't met seeing and calling someone but it's not like they can prove I've done it when it doesn't leave any marks on the dog. Plus he's stupid tough, my last bloodhound was a young one too and he'd yelp, my basset just looks at me and walks off.

I just don't like dogs. There's no appeal in me to own that. It's a large enough fraction of dogs having lived in multiple spots that I just don't get the appeal. At least with cats, they never cause headaches and do their own thing. Can spend time when you want, otherwise they're on their own and more pleasant in my opinion to be around.

At my old house my issue was not the barking, it was letting your dog shite in my yard and not clean it up.

It got to the point I would shovel it up and throw it in the guys driveway. I asked multiple times. If it was a small dog I would maybe not care. But it was a full arse poodle that took horse shits and fricked up my push mower.

Rant over

Used to live in a relatively quiet neighborhood. Unfortunately, my backyard neighbor had 2 Schnauzers who constantly barked. Neighbor tuned them out like children. So glad we moved.

Now I have a neighbor who owns a retriever. It has free range over all our yards. She goes on patrols several times a day and kills every snake she comes across. This dog only barks at cars it doesn't recognize or if something is wrong.

Every afternoon she comes to get a treat when making rounds. Best dog I've never owned.

My dogs have bark collars when they’re outside for long periods. Work great.

Not so much dogs but the annoying type of dog owners. I can’t fricking stand the “dog moms” or people who try to compare having dogs to raising human children. Dogs are great, but at the end of the day they are animals.
I also think the whole emotional support animal thing is horseshite and used by people to avoid doing any real exposure work.. using some poor dog as a golem for the emotions they can’t handle

I despise loud dogs. I have three 65-80lb mutts ranging from about 3 to almost 14. They don’t bark unless there’s a good reason. I blame owners. Some little yappy dogs are more predisposed to it. F them and their owners.

Update: The dog owner caught me spraying down his dogs with the cajun seasoning water. He was acting like I'm the bad guy in this situation. I told him "For the past 300 days, I've dealt with your 5 dogs killing my peace for 4 hours a day. From the barking and whimper to them going ballistic 3 inches away from me everytime I enter and leave my apartment. I feel no remorse for spraying them down with cajun seasoning. This would not be an issue if you know how to have your dogs behave properly. I'm moving out in 2 weeks" Then left.
