I hate to see the old Hummer go by the wayside but I guess it's time has come and gone....

... And Oshkosh makes good vehicles. Our support trains used different versions of the HEMTT for fuel, ammo, and other supplies.

It's hard enough to get SM's trained on driving the 1150's, those things will be even worse.

So in 20 years, milfs will be driving Oshkosh 2's?

No. But, BRPD will be using them to "patrol".

They're replacing the Humvee? I can't wait for all our local PDs to get their hands on these surplus vehicles.

Yeah because the car they are driving totally determines their actions. You cop haters and your "tanks".

Screw patrolling. I'd take one as a POV for trail riding and the hunting camp.

I dont think the MWRAP was ever really a replacement for the humvee.

Correct.

The MRAP was developed specifically, as its name implies, to be a mine resistant (IED) vehicle.

The HUMVEE wasn't designed to resist IEDs and as a result, performed poorly at this task.
