How old are you? You're like a generation too late. Hip hop has been extremely popular the last almost 30 years. People who are in their 40's grew up with hip hop.

Fuk no....they listen to country or classic rock....if they wanna listen to that, they can move out and pay their own rent

How old do you think your kids will be when you learn who they actually are as opposed to who you've made them pretend to be?

Just like everything, there is good and bad. Some is very intelligent and worthwhile art. Just like some rock is vacuous crap. The stuff you hear on the radio of either tends to be the less intelligent garbage because least common denominator.

What you are doing is the same as taking Battlefield Earth and saying that there is nothing good to take from all of american cinema.

If I hear them listening to it I take their iPhones away for a week. I may also take their car keys or may even beat them with a whip or chop off a foot to keep em down.

My kids are 4 and 1-1/2. We listen to a lot of classic rock, classic country, and Cajun. Theyll be able to make their choice later in life but will never hear dad listening to that garbage arse noise.

I love Blink, but now that they replaced Tom Delonge it will never be the same. I don't want to hear any of their new stuff either.

I should have seen them 2 or 3 years back when they made the comeback with the original trio.

They will when they are old enough. I grew up listening to rap music so they will probably gravitate to something that I don't like, EDM for example

EDM is the worst.

God help any of you whose children grow up wanting to be a DJ

I'm relatively a larger teen for my age. Always lifted and juiced off and on. For the '05 Warped Tour I was called out for knocking kids on the ground by the Thrice lead singer. It was the Houston warped and was 18. Really didn't care but was a shtty a lame thing to do.

Rap really has declined over time, especially the past few years. I almost exclusively listened to rap from age 15 to 23. I'm 25 now, my taste in music is completely different: CCR, Pink Floyd, Willie Nelson, sometimes 70's and 80's music, country, etc.

Honestly, I can't get behind rap music anymore with the way things are now

Still some good stuff.

Curren$y is still okay. I do love me some Kanye and can't forget about Fetty.

Edt: I understand where you are coming from with that statement.

Some of us that are a couple of years away from 60 listen to it. Death Row guys really got me into it, but I like a lot of stuff that predates them. When I was buying a lot of Rap, I built up a collection of used CD's from CD Source in Dallas. Have a bunch of the Source Music Awards yearly CD's.

I grew up listening to Rock and Roll. Everything from Zeplin to Lynyrd Skynyrd and all points in between. The album collection also has a bunch of Earth, Wind and Fire, Ohio Players and other R&B music.

Got heavily into Blues in college. Bought a bunch of albums and recorded everything to cassette for the car. My joining the ranks of working stiffs coincided with the advent of CD's. I started buying Blues CD box sets from guys like Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, BB King and Howling Wolf & mixed in multiple Muddy Waters, Clapton, SRV, Robert Cray and more.

Been listening to these 90's alternative rock lately, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chli Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots. I still buy CD's from Amazon and play them in my car.

Have separate 72 CD cases for Rock, Blues and Rap.
