I would also believe this is fake. But if these ants had somehow decided she was some sort of host thing, like how they use plants, they wouldn't necessarily be stinging her. However, if it were a colony, they would need to send out their drones to forage and whatnot pretty often. Would definitely be more noticeable.
It's either a case of an ant colony nearby the girl's bed and going in there and getting trapped every so often. Or just her or someone putting them in there on purpose.
