quote:

The size of a small dog, it became the largest carnivorous marsupial in the world following the extinction of the thylacine in 1936. It is characterized by its stocky and muscular build, black fur, pungent odor, extremely loud and disturbing screech, keen sense of smell, and ferocity when feeding. The Tasmanian devil's large head and neck allow it to generate among the strongest bites per unit body mass of any extant mammal land predator, and it hunts prey and scavenges carrion as well as eating household products if humans are living nearby.

quote:

Despite outdated beliefs and exaggerations regarding their disposition, many, although not all, devils will remain still when in the presence of a human; some will also shake nervously. They can bite and scratch out of fear when held by a human, but a firm grip will cause them to remain still. Although they can be tamed, they are asocial and are not considered appropriate as pets; they have an unpleasant odour and neither demonstrate nor respond to affection.

They sound pretty much like pit bulls so do you personally think you could tame one?

I had a zoo keeper cousin that got attacked by 2 of them. They chewed his Achilles' tendon into and got him down and went to work on him. He managed to kill one of them but eventually bled out. Rip Todd.

Easily...they love to eat "Wild Turkey Surprise". If you have that, you can tame them.

When I was in grade school a zoo keeper brought one to our school. I was disappointed to see that it didn't spin around like a tornado.

Not as disappointed as I was when I learned rabbits couldn't talk.

I can't currently keep our 5 month old yellow lab puppy from trying to destroy our house, yard, rest of Planet Earth...so no, no I don't think I could tame a Tasmanian Devil.

These things were bad mofos.

The russians and the US both tried to train them for war.
