Indeed. The only gas station’s business is booming.

I’d say Lafayette too. I’m not sure about Mandeville, they’re starting to cater to the hipster douches

If they play their cards right, I think Pierre Part could be the next Krotz Springs.

Do y’all ever get tired of constantly complaining about Louisiana? Not that you’re really wrong for the most part but good lord it must be exhausting.

Lafayette and Lake Charles are doing okay but they'll never be great due to the constant threat of hurricanes/flooding.

It will be interesting to see how a "Republican" Governor runs this state, especially one that shouldn't have any national ambitions... that could make a big difference for job creation, hopefully they can make some tax, infrastructure, and liability changes to help get the state rolling, plus having Scalise should help with getting federal $$ headed our way.

Nola is basically screwed until Teedy & Jason Williams is gone, but I could easily see a place like BR or Lafayette landing some big job numbers.

That POS almost got me the other day. He has now moved to the base of the bridge westbound trying to radar your cruise momentum coming down right at the 45mph sign. Bastard made me spill my coffee.

I'd say the Northshore, but the thing that chased them out of where they used to live...will always be chasing them.

Unfortunately this could be the case. But I hope not

Until people in Louisiana wise up and stop voting in corrupt POS politicians, nothing in that state is going to get better.

Bossier aint so bad. I'm ready to move but there are definitely quite a few worse places in this state.

No because we keep electing idiots. They show you how dumb they are, then we elect them again.

Lake Charles' mayor Nic Hunter has a fantastic vision for the city. The LC REBOUND program would really spring LC ahead.

Bossier exists solely to accommodate white flight from S'Port. It is symptomatic of the illness of the larger community. Just as W. Monroe is white flight from Monroe.
And Ruston exists to accommodate Temple Baptist and La. Tech (but only for so long as it is a SBC bastion).
None of these communities are very promising unless you want to evangelize your neighbors on their way out of town.

The Acadiana area has a lot of promise.

North Lafayette/Carencro has gotten some major business developments between the Amazon fulfillment center and the FedEx center.

Lafayette is land locked by other smaller cities, but those small cities have a lot of real estate with Interstate access for economic development and they're all (mostly) part of Lafayette Parish which benefits the city and every other small town in the area.

I’m biased but think Lafayette/Youngsville is not a bad place in Louisiana to raise a family.
